::: Professional Background
Raksha Changappa has seven plus years of professional experience, exclusively in the nutrition field and spanning academics, nutrition research, management and diet consulting.
She started her career as a lecturer in Mount Carmel College, Bangalore. Her responsibilities included conducting nutrition/dietetics classes (theory/practical) for BSc (Nutrition) students, guiding research projects of final year undergraduate nutrition students and handling Value Education classes.
Raksha later worked as a nutrition faculty in the educational institute of a top slimming and beauty company and also served as institute head for the same. Her role included conducting nutrition/dietetics classes for the full time course students, coordinating the nutrition correspondence courses, management of the functioning of the institute as a whole (including administration, enrolment, promotions).
Post this, she worked in managerial and senior managerial positions, in the healthcare oriented, independent profit centers of the same company. Her responsibilities included heading large teams comprising of dietitians, doctors and physiotherapists with the aim of enhancing and managing healthcare service delivery to all customers.

A university first rank holder and a triple gold medalist in her MSc (Food & Nutrition), Raksha was felicitated for her excellence in nutrition & dietetics in her BSc too
She has also won many prestigious nutrition awards, including the award for being a meritorious nutritionist, instituted by Indias illustrious eye surgeon, the late Padma Bhushan Dr MC Modi. She was presented the same, by the then Governor of Karnataka, Padma Vibhushan Shri TN Chaturvedi.
